What differences in frames and motor swaps do you often run into?

Here's what I may attempt in the future. I have a garbage (un-saveable) 200ES frame and pretty much, enough parts to fix it twice. I have a line on a (mostly) complete 200S. At least, I THINK it's a 200S. It's an early 80's chain driven 185 or 200. I'm pretty certain it's NOT a 250.

Can a shaft drive engine and rear end be installed without a lot of fabrication or would that be a massive undertaking?
Hope someone knows for sure. I HATE getting elbow deep into a project only to find it was never a good idea to begin with.

Thanks for knowledge share. :beer

short answer - no. Chain drive to chain drive on any early model 185 or 200 - yes. the rear set up of the 200ES is unique to only it.

Well dang!

Got two whole engines, the rear end in the junk frame and another shaft drive rear end from an TRX 4 wheeler.

Ohh well. They ain't eating anything. Just keep them and be patient. Chance favors the prepared mind.
