Just picked up this 82 250r. It came with a 3 inch extended swingarm. This one first look like a stock one, quad?255186

the chopped up one is OEM. I wouldn't run that chopped up mess. Scrap it.

Whats on the bike is stronger and not stock, looks very much like 1988 blaster swinger, howeer looks either homemade or maybe some company did replacements. Hard to tell. If it work fix it up and power coat it and go about your day.

Next question Oldskool83, is it sitting too high since the mount is up top?

I have no clue. I didn't build your bike. Orbit has suspension which prob works better then factory set up. Just fix it and ride it. Too hard to figure out what happened in its 36 years before you got it.

that looks to me to be more likely a chinese swinger than a name brand, I have some chinese ones that are very similar
