I finally finished my 1985 tri-z. It was not a full frame off rebuild but still a lot of work. It has a pair of Jason hall inverted fork triple trees, dura blue banshee extended axle and banshee hubs, new rims out back. plus 2 over swing arm, New aluminum radiators, Had a new sleeve put in the cylinder and port work, new piston, new rod, Sprock cool head, billet impeller. billet reed intake, oversize carb, Jemco exhaust pipe, air box eliminated, custom top mounted aluminum gas tank custom oversized foot pegs. and 85 Honda 250r front fender It was a lot of work but its done and I think looks cool as hell. Looks mean. From the looks of the backdrop, you got issues finding a place to open it up. It's flat for days out there!

Nice work.

That's a great looking machine! Where did the tank come from?

I got the tank off of Ebay. You cant see it but it has a sump built in that holds more fuel. Its a great looking tank ill get some pictures of it and post them.

Please do, interested to see where the sump is.

Couldn’t help but notice the shifter placement. Seems like it would be difficult to use at that angle, no?

Man, it would be so great if someone would start building nice Z tanks reasonably.

I think that goes for tanks and fenders for ALL our trikes. Two of the hardest parts to find in nice shape.

I agree but a nice top mount Z tank that looks like it belongs there is hard to come by. I want one really bad.
