Pretty easy. Loosen the adjuster. Slowly turn it counterclockwise until you just feel a bit of resistance. Then turn it clockwise 1/8-1/4 of a turn. Lock it all down [without moving it LOL] and go for a ride.

Follow this link, scroll down to the service manuals and choose your particular year and model. The info is there.

I think you mean clockwise right?

Interesting. I don't have a 125M but that's the same clutch adjuster for tons and tons of Honda ATC's and ATV's. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be turned clockwise but obviously I can see the manual right there. If you turn it counter-clockwise it's just going to back the adjuster away from the clutch.

Unless the threads are opposite on the 125's???? I only know 200cc models.

I thought about that as well but I feel like they would have said that in the manual. I suppose them saying to turn it counter-clockwise is the same as saying they're reverse thread. I apologize if I'm wrong and throwing this thread off, just doesn't sound right to me.

It wouldn't be the first time the manual has it wrong.

I know for a fact as PS2Fixer has enlightened me to, the wiring diagrams on some of the NON honda manuals are flat out wrong. My Clymer manual for 185/200 models is chocked full of holes in the information. They get nitty gritty for one detail and then just drop it and move on leaving you standing there with your .... um, Wrench in your hand wondering....WTF????? Take an ES subtranny apart from only a Clymer manual and lose years off your life. LOL!

Yes the inner threads are reversed and the locking nut is std threads .
Counterclockwise to adjust and then clockwise 1/4 turn , lock it down .

Thank you Shortline. Do you know if the 250SX is the same way? That would mean I've been doing some pretty awful clutch adjustments for quite some time now.

All auto Honda ATC / Atvs adjust the same way .
