Atc250sx intake manifold spacer

Ok guys so I am piecing together a sorta Frankenstein 250sx and have a question. I have a 87 250sx engine in a 85 frame. With a 87 carb and 85 air box and boots. I need to order a intake manifold and need to know if I need the spacer that goes with the 87 model or not.

The 87 does not use the spacer like the 85 did, but they are different manifolds. The 87 is longer. You can see the difference in the parts breakdowns on Partzilla.

Ok I see. So they are the same length just one is a 1 piece and the other a 2 piece. Thanks

Basically, yes. I am currently restoring an 87, and a buddy of mine has a few 85's he is combining into one, so we have spent a lot of time looking into the differences.
