Looking into getting a new carb for my 200x. Running a water cooled Chinese clone 200cc. Running a pz30 Keihin clone carb. Ran pretty good until bad fuel. Looking at the Mukini carbs in 30mm. Looks like I’ll have to get a different style intake boot. Curious if anyone has run these. Priced a little higher than the pz30’s. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I know Mickey Dunlop sells an oversized carb for his 200X race engines. I'm not sure about about the brand, though.

So taking a look at my jets and it’s been awhile since I’ve had it apart. It has a #42 pilot and #118 main. I know I played around with the jets with recommend sizes by someone that used to be on the site. Off the top of my head I don’t know the stock jet sizes that came with the carb. I do have a jet kit, looking for some base numbers of starting point on jet sizes. Am I in the ballpark or should I start over. Recommended starting point would be awesome. Also any info on what spark plugs you guys are using on 200x’s

So I just did a lemon boil on the Keihin clone carb. I’ll see if that fixes my problem. If not, my next guess is to check valve clearances, and or get a new carb. From what I’ve read the Mukini carbs are supposed to be better than the pz30 even with getting the cheaper clone Mukini. Well I’ll see how it goes, I hope to ride again soon.

Why aren’t you using the oem 24mm Keihin?

That’s what I was thinking , why even mess with China crap carburetors .

The oem carb had a lot of corrosion and crap in it. I cleaned it up a little. Honestly I didn’t think it would clean up enough to use. I’ll pull it out and test it after some more cleaning if this doesn’t work.

Send it to me. I will get it running perfect again.

That sounds good. Will you put my original motor back together for me too? I’m not confident if I’d put it together right, or if I have the proper tools to do it right. Let’s talk.

No luck with the oem carb. Went back to using the air filter box and boot. Same problem, no fuel to cylinder. Pulled the valve cover to check valve clearance and can’t find my feeler guages. I’ll by a set and try later.

I personally like Keihin carbs. Mine doesn't give my serious headaches.

So I checked valve clearance and it’s good. Button everything back up. Bought a new champion plug, they were out of NGK. Sprayed starting fluid into the oem carb and was able to get it to pop off. Hooked the fuel tank up, had to use starting fluid to get it started again then was able to run off the fuel tank for a few minutes. Kind of ran out of time this evening, but at the end I could not get it to fire, possibly dead/low battery. Didn’t have time to adjust the idle and had to use the throttle to keep it running. Now at least I know it will run.

By the way the old gas in the tank I dumped out into a gas can. It had a bluish color like mixed gas, I’m guessing from the tank sealer that we put in it awhile back. Used fresh gas to get her running for a bit. I’m thinking I’m going to go for one of those IMS tanks to be safe??

I have a 27mm Keihin on my 200X I got from DG Performance. It's a nice upgrade. It's a bit bigger than stock and bolts right up. The inside diameter of the stock manifold is a bit small for it, but you can use the manifold from the XR200 which is a bit bigger. Here's where I got it:
