85 Big Red 250ES Choke Cable Question

Am having to replace the Light, Start & Choke Switch on my 85 Big Red. Was wondering how, or if there are any tricks, on removal and reinstall of the switch end of the the choke cable. Cable is good and plan on leaving carb end alone. Just need advice on the switch end of the cable.
