Knockoff CDI's on eBay

Has anyone bought one of them cheap CDI's off ebay, and if so did it work as advertised? I need one for a 1996 Honda 300 Fourtrax and OEM is not cheap! The one I'm looking at will run around $50.00 Canadian to my door.

Personally, everything I've bought through ebay from off shore has worked well so far; maybe I've answered my own question:wondering

I tried one once for the fourtrax 300 a few years ago and it did not work , wouldn’t even light up the neutral light :( . They are pretty specific because of the neutral safety wire is controlled by it . They might be better now but as a mechanic I have to make my customers bikes reliable .
