Hey guys,
I made some progress in the last couple of weeks. So please keep in mind I am trying to polish the axle...so I just put the tires beside the trike to show you what it will look like.
Ps. Keep in mind the front rim WILL be painted the same as the rear wheel.

I love the metal mulisia look. I am wondering what kind of rear tires those are. They look like they would hook up good.

The tires are 22-11-8 They are made by Kenda, i will have too look at the specs. Those have been on since new. They used to be around 1 1/2 tread, and yes they hook up great.
I am putting on polished rims and new street tires...all low profile.
Ps. These pics do absolutely no justice for the trike. It looks 10 times better in person. When I get it outside I am going to shoot some more pics.

This is the first black R I have seen. I just love it. I like trikes that are different from the others, like yours. Nice job!! 8)

Thanks guys, this is a nut and bolt restore. basically everything. I can't even count the hours I have into it so far. Soon as I have it rolling....next is the engine.
Jeswinehart has an extremely similar trike ;)
anyway....thanks to this board for all the tips and pics and especially for the others that are doing the same restore.

what color are you going to paint the engine?
i think jet black, with silver highlights like, kickstarter, bolt heads, nuts, shifter, and cylynder head, so all cases black and cylynder....with silver head... ;)
but any color would look good...

Sweet lookin ride. That trike screams "Get out the way" and "Eat my Dust"
Anyways where did you get that seat cover? Im in need of a custome for my Tecate project. The one I have is cheap and I dont like the colors. Help a brother out.

MEATbox[mHz],
The seat cover was bought from www.hi-flite.com. Excellent quality.
As far as the engine goes.......its going to get the whole nine yards. Port and polish, reeds, bored over and a bigger carb. All new seals and any bearings that need to be replaced.
As far as engine colour. I was thinking flat black and polish the fins on the head. Not too sure yet.....You guys gave me a few good ideas.
Shockwears, I bought from www.royaldistributing.com here in Canada. The only ones that would fit were for a snowmobile. So I had to buy a pair. They have many different colours and styles to choose from.
Thanks,
Jeff

452x,
Yeah that looks sweet. Now thats one serious machine..... That is something like what I was thinking of. I was thinking flat black though....kinda steathly look to it. I am not too sure how it will look though. I guess if i don't like the flat black finish...i can just paint over it.

that looks incredible. what did you use to paint the plastic? is it going to crack and flake off? or were yu able to buy black plastic. i have never had any luck with painting plastic it sems to flake off even with this krylon fusion paint.
R6XTERRA

The plastic is from Maijer....and yes you can buy it black from factory. The tank shrouds and headlight case are painted using Krylon fusion paint. Its supposed to be the best thing for painting plastic. I beg to differ.
Ps. John, why are you selling your hard labour?
