So something happened today, that didn't exactly leave me feeling good. I was attempting to remove the nut that holds the flywheel on. It was super tight, so was using a electric impact to remove said nut. It still came off hard, the started wobbling as it was coming off. Stripped the crank out pretty bad. Ripped threads off crank, and the nut. Haven't seen that happen before. So now I get to remove the crankshaft and put a different one in.
So here's my question. This is on a 1979 atc 70. Do I need a year specific crankshaft as a replacement? Or is there certain years I can use? Reason I ask is because of the few transmission differences through the years, and I figured you'd need a specific crank for the trans and everything else.
