Went for a 20 mile ride yesterday with three friends and stumbled upon this non-typical whitetail monster that died about a month ago by best guess. Not sure if it's a victim of bow hunting or from wolves or a cougar, either way this thing is a tank! Once I get a "Found Dead Certificate" from the fish cops I'll get it scored and mounted up.

That's very cool. Did you count the points?

Seems you found a non-typical deer while riding a non-typical trike.

No I haven't yet but it will get scored using the Boone & Crockett system, we're guessing around the 200 inch range. Yes you busted me, lol. But be aware, my ATV's are older Honda 300's, 96 & 98 model years. They ride and brake like a Big Red!

Well wouldn't you know it, someone has trail cam pictures of this deer from June 30th, 2020 taken 100 yards from where I found it. I figured someone would have seen it at some time as it's within 1/2 mile of the control tower on a fighter base.

Scoring is done and the gross is 202". Net will be horrible (140's) due the unique nature of how it grew it's left and right typical frame.

Great dead head find. That’s pretty cool to see it on the hoof too!

Btw, first post here... Looking forward to learning about some ATCs.

Welcome derkperk! You'll definitely learn from these folks. There's not much with these rigs that hasn't been experienced before.

Huge rack, cool find. Found a few deadhead but never one like that. Since its still in pretty good shape must be either wolf kill or hit by a hunter who was unable to recover. Id get it euro mounted.

Hard to say what took this big boy down, wolves, cougar or hunter? Me and the Mrs have discussed which mount to do and have decided on a full shoulder mount. Hopefully I'll fill my tag tomorrow for a donor cape.

Around here a "swamp donkey" is a moose, lol. Spent 10 hours cutting up the future daughter in-laws 56" wide moose she got last week. My only concern is it's probably a good candidate for hamburger when they get that big.

How far from a road was that moose killed? Miles or yards?
When I hear Canada and moose hunting, I think of a long hike to find one that humongous. Good luck on getting a buck for the freezer.
Ever see a huge moose cross the road up there?

Hi Fieldy, missed your questions last year, my bad. In the area they hunt it's wooded farmland so getting to the animal usually isn't too bad. Now where we hunt by canoe...that's a challenge, lol. Here's one of the hunts http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/170270-2014-Moose-Hunt?highlight=moose+canoe

Yes we see moose a few times a year going to and from work and even in town during the winter. Lots of pictures on the trail cameras too.

Got my mount back from the dead head. I think he did a pretty good job on it...definitely a lot bigger than I remembered from last year!
