Tri-moto 225dx running issue

My trike has a running issue, seems to sputter about 1/2 throttle. Wide open it’s fine and idle it’s fine. Tried old carb, rebuilt carb, new carb, old petcock, new petcock, new air filter, no air filter, new plug. You name it, I’ve tried it.
I know, I know, is there any other way to ride other than wide open.....
Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried moving the clip on the needle jet up or down one position?

I’d try raising the clip first and if that makes it better, but not perfect, go one more. If it makes it worse, go the other direction. Makes sure it’s not bent while you’re in there.

Thanks, I have not tried that. It runs so perfect at WOT I was afraid of losing performance. I will give it a try. My spark plug looks pretty good. It’s dry, but a little blacker than I like to see.

My guess is it's running rich.

Sorry it took so long to get back. I moved the clip up one notch on the needle and it runs like it should. Thanks for all your help guys.
