Hey Fella,

I picked up a 1983 ATC 185 as a parts bike, however it only took a little elbow grease to get it up and running. The only thing it needs now is an air filter, currently the carb is just open. I bought an UNI air filter for it, however I cannot mount it directly to the carb. I have tried search for some generic air box tube to use, however I haven't had any luck. I am sure there is some type of work around that people have used as I am sure stock air boxes are becoming harder to find.

If you have a redneck fix post it up, pictures would help too:)

I am running a clamp on uni filter with no airbox on my 185s. Keep in mind you will have to rejet the carb if you go with anything other than the stock airbox. I had to raise the main jet from a 98 to a 108 main jet to get to 12.0:1 AFR at WOT but I’m also running a 200x dg exhaust and have a xr200 piston/camshaft.

Thanks for the input, that's how I have done it in the past with an airbox isn't present. However, in this case on my 83 185 the carb is slightly angled so that I cannot clamp the filter directly to the carb. So in the meantime I am trying to find some generic airbox tube to use.
