atc wire help

hi ok i have a 1977 atc 90 and i dont have spark i have change all of the electrical parts and i had spark once. can anyone scan a wiring diagram so i see if its hooked up right or post it on here.thanks

on my atc 90 it would only spark ocassionaly so we thought it was the coil but it wasn't it was the kill switch! As for the wiring diagram I can't scan one because i dont have a scanner. Did you put a new plug wire in it? That was also another problem on mine the plug wire had about a 1/8 inch gap or so in it so it wouldn't spark. Just make sure you have all the wires hooked up in the correct spots.

I could tell you how to hook everything up ut it would probably get pretty confusing. But i do know where everything goes.

Hi there,
this is mike from Vintage motorsports, I sell reproduction wiring harnesses for your little 90 , we specialize in them so I can help you out. the harness is $45 if you need one and It comes with a wiring diagram etc and instructions , but it sounds like you have a bad condensor mounted on the coil , I dont know if you have changed that or not but you almost have to pull the engine to get to it correctley without damnaging the harness its located inside the frame directley in back of the engine , always replace the oints and condensor as a pair and make sure all your connections are good and tight. if you want to eliminate your 2 kill switches as the problem just disconect all the wires going in to your headlight bucket and try it . let me know if you need anything for your bike my email is mike@vintagemotorsports.net good luck
