I have decided to sell off all my remaining 3 wheeler parts that I have collected for decades. I posted a couple parts on Facebook groups and nobody knows me after being gone for 10 years. Nobody trusts me and thinks I am a scammer, lol. Of those here that remember me know that is the farthest from the truth you could get. I have a personal policy that I will not take Pay Pal for anything over $100 unless it is F&F and they jumped all over that. I will not go into the details of why I will not do it but there are for a fact a few loopholes that you can be defrauded as a seller. I just prefer to loose the sale rather than loose the parts and money.

Anyway, I may be listing 350X and ATC 70 parts for sale in the near future. If anyone remembers me from here I would appreciate if you commented on my posts to reassure the newer people that they will not be cheated by me. I post clear pictures and hide nothing on things I sell, Just been 10 years since I have been around. I will start posting stuff for sale hopefully around the middle of next week

Thanks,
Eric

Hey Eric,

Good luck with your sale. Hopefully tear yourself away from those Oldsmobiles long enough to pop in here and say hello from time to time.

You are definitely going to get some resistance on your PayPal policy though. The Good and Services option is in place to protect the buyer and the seller.
I won't pay a stranger as little as $20 without that assurance.

You, I know personally and would have no problem with F&F, but no way I'd do that with a stranger / internet acquaintance.

Hopefully I run into you again someday. I miss your TrikeFest hill climbing antics.

I will still be around eventually. 3 wheelers will always be in my heart. I am going to make it to trikefest again sometime as long as it is still going on. I may be on a sxs but I will be there. I need to check because it is possible I could make it this year. My usual Oldsmobile event that happens that weekend is not going to happen now so I may be good to go. I totally understand people not wanting to pay F&F, I will not buy from a stranger that way either unless someone else I know says he is ok. The Oldsmobile world is SO MUCH different than the 3 wheeler community. the Olds community is like family even if you don't know each other. I have always agreed with Bill on the fact that the 3 wheeler community is its own worst enemy sometimes. I have been spoiled buy the Oldsmobile crowd.

REO Speed Wagon!

Although R.E. left Oldsmobile before GM acquired it, shame on GM for eventually destroying such a historical, and at one time, a performance brand.

All the talk about Henry Ford, but Ransom Eli Olds was the true pioneer.

I've read this book and for anyone wanting to munch down on early US car history between Olds and Ford, it's a good read.

The 1960's Toronados were some of the best looking cars of the era. They were like a concept car that made it into production. Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on V8 front wheel drive...

So where are these 350x parts listed?
I do not do socialist Facebook !
And rarely do PayPal except to buy from established bussiness...
I don't know the old community but early bronco community on classic broncos rules and those guys are probably just as nicest people ever to want to help other bronco people so it's probably very similar to the olds It's good that they're still groups of good people out there

I took the listings down. I think I have a local going to buy me out of all of it maybe. After adding this up, I hope he don't. I will get far more out of it if I sell it myself. At least going by sold listings on ebay, this stuff is selling for more than I expected.

Geez, didn't anyone stand up for you in the group??

There are plenty of scammers but I'd think your buddies would vouch for you...

And there's the problem, the prices have risen so dramatically lately that the scammers have noticed. It's a good time to be selling but people aren't going to just trust you because we're in the trike community together, and I agree that's a shame.

Good luck with your sale and even if you don't get top dollar, you'll be helping a local guy and you won't have to worry about getting scammed out of parts and payment.

I thought a local would probably snatch this up. I have always considered Brazil, IN to be one of the biggest trike hotbed areas in the country.

In no particular order:
Brazil, IN
Chautauqua County, NY
Mexico, MO
El Cajon, CA
Clarion County, PA
Surprise, AZ

All the scammers want F&F on PayPal, and everyone has been repeatedly been warned not to use it for tangible goods due to all the scammers, its mentioned on the Facebook groups i am in nearly daily. So yeah you are going to come off looking bad asking for F&F.

You are better off tossing everything on eBay if you want to accept electronic payments and ship the parts, FB marketplace is honestly only good for local in person sales these days, if you ship you're thought of as a scammer, if you want F&F they think you are a scammer... Just how it is.

lol, I have not been on anything since the Imperial Invasion in 2011. Still kicking. The Oldsmobile's have taken all my free time. For these parts, I will likely just use eBay. I hate eBay but may be best

You can always raise the price to cover Paypal fees. Then offer a discount if sent via F&F. ;)

I need some 350X fork "GUTS" if you saved any of the handfuls you bent during your time.

Your posts on FB made me laugh and shake my head because I know you from here.

I just tell people to add the 3% to cover themselves if they don't trust me. But, I don't buy much on there unless I know the seller thru someone else, the scamming is terrible.

I keep saying I'm gonna start a scammer group exposing them, I have a big list of names I've been saving, I just haven't made the group yet...

I have been scammed as a seller and just don't often take Pay Pal for more than $100 unless it is friends and family. I have sold a couple things on there now with no trouble. Just sold a front tire and wheel on there and the guy paid F&F with no problem. I just listed a few more parts on there. I care less about the PayPal fee as I do getting screwed. There are ways to get cheated as a seller on there. I confronted Pay Pal about it and they admitted it happens but they are not going to change anything to address it.

A major one going on now, If someone comes to your house to buy something they will ask if they can Pay pal you because they forgot their money. You take Pay pal and they take the goods. They later file a claim with Pay pal that you never shipped the item. Pay Pal askes you for the tracking number but you obviously can't provide one. In this situation Pay Pal WILL give the money back to the person taking the goods. Pay Pal admits this happens and said they will not do anything about it.

Cash on the barrel head! That’s the only way to deal. The Government hates it because they can’t track it !
