Check your compression while the engine is cold, and then when it is warm. If it drops significantly when the engine is warm, your rings may be worn. I have also experienced ignition coils going open when hot, particularly on riding mowers (might also apply here). If you pull the ignition coil and throw it in the freezer, it will allow the engine to start after the ignition coil cools off. Basically, the engine heat is allowing a weak connection to come open. You could check the resistance across the coil per the service manual when it is cold versus hot to see if that may be the issue. The ignition could also easily be checked by pulling the spark plug and checking for spark when it stalls and won't restart.
