250sx starter removal help

Hi tried searching the forum and google for video but no luck. Trying to remove the starter but I cant get it to push back enough to come out of the reduction gear cover. Do I actually have to remove the whole engine side case to get this out or is there a trick to it? Thanks for any info

Hey Seth:

Keep messing with it and it'll come off. You do not have to remove the engine side case.

Disconnect the wiring and the 2 bolts, and it will wiggle out.
