Well...i think a john deere sled engine is not very powerful to go in a go-kart, am I wrong? You should put a 500 sled engine in there, at least.

Just my 2 cents

WHAT are you guys talking about?!?!?!? i have 3 old john deere sleds sitting up at my neigbors, and ALL of them go OVER 75mph, they are twin cylinders (they have speedometers on them), john deere sled motors are actually alot more powerfull then you think, dont go dissing the deere just cuz you've never heard of it,, they had some very fast + nice sleds a few years back.

You guys should check out some of these videos. This cart is only powered by a 400 cc motor. Just think what a bigger motor would do..

i was either gonna get a rolling chassis of a go kart or a go-kart and fab up some custom mounts to where i could put my tecate engine in it...or like a 200x engine or something

I have an old Honda Odyssey frame I plan on adding rear independant suspension and a big 1000 cc motor to. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fab up some rear suspension?

john deer made some fast liquid cooled 500 sleds back in the day...my opinion you should go with a more updated motor for something like that because even the old LC motors ran hot in the winter so summer would be worse i think.

something in a cat around 500 or bigger i wouldn't go any older than maybe a 90 you will prolly want to add a different type of radiator maybe mounted on a roll bar or something like that

well i stopped and looked at a 71 honda cb750! it was nice. he whants 300 for it. didnt have any loil in it needs the side of the case welded. no to big of a hole a small pin hole. gonna see tomorow if it will hold oil long enough to start it. im goin to weld the hole. i think i might just leave it in the frame its in. its in almost mint cond. just were he wrecked it on the side and put a small hole in the case. wont take 2 hours to fix it. i may just dragg it like it is. or resto it. i pulled the clutch in and it was pretty stiff. and the brakes need fluid. man thats a bigg bike  .
let me know what u guys think. thanx
