motor swap

i have a 82 atc185s and my motor runs good cold but it will start t odie after i run it for a couple hours and i dont like the pull start and wondering what kind of motor i could fit in there i was thinking like a xr100 or xr200 if it would fit but wondering how much modding it would take to fit it in there. my friend has a xr100 and it looks close to the same size and uses same looking motor mounts any help much apreciated.

Just repair the 185S motor...it should be sweet :)

The problem with the xr motors ( i think all sizes) is that their kick start kicks backwards causing a problem with the rear plastic. Other then that it shouldn't take too much work, new motor mounts, maybe a modified exhaust and intake manifold. I would try to fix the motor you have now.

I would just repair the motor thats in it now...There not that hard to work on.
