I have a 185s it ran good but smoked bad and had 50 pounds of compression took it all apart the cylinder and piston looked great honed the cylinder out and started looking for std rings but cannot find any for a 185s found them for a 200s but not sure if the bore is the same? I thought either trying wiseco or rings from a XL185?

Not a lot of options left for a std 63mm bore anymore .
The wiseco rings are different , won’t fit a factory piston .
I’ve used this kit in the past and it worked great .

I've got a couple smoking 185s motors in the shed and bought 2 of those kits too. jim

Just buy a wiseco 66mm 10.25:1 piston and bore the cylinder, you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

I only have 1 185 engine and it runs great without smoking but at that price I bought a kit to put in my parts stash!
Thanks for sharing that link!
Take care

I may have a set, I've got a box with old Cycle Craft, Rocky and Sudco rings and I'm positive there are some 185 rings in there.

63mm??

These are all marked ATC185. Ricky's say standard and no name set does as well. There are part numbers on the boxes, I've researched them before and sold a few dozen that were easy to identify quickly...

I've had these for a long time and they were already old when I bought them, I imagine the "no name" rings are also Japan because all of these were 80s brands...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220422/f7b366fac27a68a9c2b0657c29e8b222.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220422/e6e9f82b375b9c424dffbc84ffde7273.jpg
