That was for my NHL hockey fans…. So I have a super clean 85 200M and I have been offered a trade straight across for a 82 250r, in running condition. Would you make this trade? UPDATE I decided to keep the 200M

That depends on what type of riding you want to do. If you mainly do utility type work, slow, technical riding, or like playing in mud and water, the keep the 200M. If you like faster, sportier riding, go for the 250R.

I would keep the 200M. I personally prefer race machines but in this case the 200 is just so much more versatile. And you know the condition of the 200M. I would bet if you take the 250R you will find problems with it after you get home. Maybe you could buy the 250R and expect it to be a project?

Great choice!
That 200 is so nice and original right down to the tires.
The 250 is somewhat of an unknown.

The best answer is to keep the 200 and wait until you have enough money to just buy a 250R outright.

Yeah old 2 strokes usually need rebuilt by this point in their life. 200Ms are awesome. Bad trade I say.
