1985 200X engine options

I’ve been away from 3 wheelers for several years and just now started to get back in them. My most recent pickup is a 1985 Honda 200X roller. Wanting to get some input on engines that will bolt in the frame without any modifications. I’m thinking most 200 engines will, but want to make sure. I am perfectly fine with not having a clutch. Also, if anyone in Kentucky has an engine for sale, let me know. Looking for a 110 engine as well.

There is no engine that is a true bolt in for 1st gen 200x. There are countless engines that will bolt into the frame but youre left with no rear brake pedal so in reality any swap other than a stock motor requires fab. Once that fact is behind you there are dozens of options.

185s or 200s motor but you need a 200x intake. watch MRC builds on his autoX. he used a hydraulic master cylinder on the handlebar and a brake hose. so you have both brakes on the handlebar, no clutch, pull start. shame your not close, ive got a few extra 185 type motors under the shelf. jim
