To start with, where do these o-rings go? There were 2 of them and I apparently missed them on disassembly. They were stuck to the inside of one of the case halves but that was after boxing up a bunch of parts to wash in the big tank at work. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230521/cc4a3bcf7be80f3386c303116f332d07.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230521/5dbf2eca87b5807d408f6f642c0aeb23.jpg

There are only 3 o-rings that size that I can recall , 2 are under the pressed in valve guides and the other one goes between the cylinder and cylinder head on the oil galley stud .
Part number 3

Ok... what is the oil galley stud and does the o ring go under or on top of the head gasket?

The bottom right cylinder stud feeds oil to the top of the head . Place an alignment dowel and one o-ring there .
The original head gaskets are made a little larger to accept that o-ring . Now if you’re using an OEM newer style metal head gasket I believe it doesn’t use that o-ring anymore .

That Oring might be from timing chain tensioner adjuster, or the plugs to check timing on Mag cover maybe. there are also 2 behind oil pump.

Good call on the two behind the oil pump , I believe those two are much smaller than the one in his picture though .
