All of the wiring is intact and I traced most of it out regarding the electric start, and it appears to be connected correctly, but if my reverse and nuetral switches aren't working, how is the bike running? From what I've read, if the nuetral light doesn't come on, then I shouldn't be getting spark.
So what is going on here....

Interesting. You can get it running with the kickstart even though the reverse/neutral switches aren't connected?
I currently can't get a spark on my 85 250sx, but the neutral light comes on. It actually is on even if I disconnected the reverse/neutral switches! It only goes off when I unplug the CDI.

The wiring is entirely orignal except for the absence of a headlight, and the nuetral and reverse plugs are still connected and wired how it was from the factory

At least you have a spark.......... I don't think I'll ever find my no spark problem lol
