Carb problems

I’m having problems with my 83 Honda atc200 at idle it barely runs and hiccups then dies

Have you cleaned the carb?

If so, it sounds like a lean condition. Check for leaks at the intake pipe. If good there, open the idle mixture screw 1/4-1/2 turn and readjust idle speed
