350X gas tanks

Other than the color, does anyone know if there is any difference between the 85" and the 86" gas tanks ?. My 86" tank fell apart and I have a spare 85" that I put on it and it just doesn't fit right. It seems to have a bigger gap between the seat and the tank.

I didnt think there was a difference. Is it possible the seat material has shrunk, and is pulling the plastic seat base away from tank?

Can you post a picture with both tanks and the seat on I’m 99%sure they’re identical tanks both years

Seats do raise back overtime.

I'll have to swap them back again and take some pics. I know the seats do funny things, especially if you still have the stock covers, but these tanks were swapped within hours of each other. The 86 tank seemed to fit closer to the seat than the 85. It just might be all in my head. Its a shame because this trike is really, really good shape and is a good looker, but once the red kote fell off the inside of the tank
the tank literally disintergrated in a few months.
