So my 84 tecate was originally setup for drag racing when I got her. Big bored to a 300, 38mm keihin carb, deleted air box, v force reeds, ftz drag pipe, stupid long swingarm and no suspension. Motor was toast when I got it.. so now I converted it back a little. Factory swingarm, some suspension, stock expansion chamber, but it does have a rebuilt engine that is still big bored, v force reeds, no air box, and the 38mm keihin carb on it. Now I'm wondering since I took off the ftz drag pipe and went stock chamber and pro circuit silencer of it should be rejected? Not sure what jets are in there but I'm guessing they are pretty big. What do you guys think?

Most 2 stroke motors that I have done with the 38mm PWK keihin carbs like around a 170 main jet .
I would just do a plug chop with what you have and go from there though .

Agree with Shortline

Main: 170, you will likely end up at 168
Pilot: 50
Needle Clip: 3rd from top
Airscrew: 1.5 turns out

That should get you ballpark and you can adjust from there. And get an airbox for it.
