Hey everyone,

In the process of getting this 350x I picked up back to a rider. The brake hub is trashed on this thing. I actually beat this "sleeve" off thinking it was part of the bearing race.

Looking on eBay and doing research, I can't tell if the sleeve is two pieces or if it's one piece?

Is it 2 pieces like this? Looking at new hubs for other models, I would assume it's supposed to be like this?

Or is it 1 piece like this?

Also, does anybody know if there are any suitable new replacements? There's tons of other new aftermarket replacements for other machines out there. I've read some info about swapping the 300ex axle into the 350x carrier, but not sure if the brake hub has the same splines? liquid 250r hub same splines? I can probably find a rotor that works if I can find a hub that slides on the splines.

I'm tempted to weld mine up and turn it down on a lathe.

Any info would be appreciated.

you can use 300ex brake hubs, 400ex brake hubs, 250r brake hubs, 450r brake hubs. all both one but need the relate brake plates...the best mod would be running 300ex rear rotor, caliper and brake stay.

all the hubs are 1 peice cast...the seals wear down the outside surface and after 40years they are junk. I have had some welded back up and returned in a later to match the stock metric diameter. Add new power coated and your good, however if the splines are worn which most are throw it away. repo's should be all over ebay now days.

I had thought about just running a 300ex rear axle with brake setup since you can get all of those parts new for a decent price. Is the brake hub supposed to look like #2 or #1? I couldn't find a repo for the 350x specifically, but could for 300ex.

USE 300EX, the 350x is all worn out and nuts in price for rusted worn out junk. all the cast hubs have a machined surface where the the seal needs to ride. both #1 and #2 are worn out.

You just need spacers turned to mount the rear sprocket
