Is there just one o ring that fits in the channel on the carb and none on the intake correct? For the life of me I can’t get it start and run after cleaning my carb and installing new float, gaskets and ect.. I seem to remember an or ing sticking on the intake when I took the carb off and I read online that there are two.. ones referred to as an “ insulator” is this correct information?

There should be an oring where the "insulator" goes against the cylinder head and an oring where the carb bolts onto the insulator.
I doubt that this is not letting the engine start.
Is gas going into the carb?
Back the float bowl drain screw out a few turns and see if any fuel runs out of the drain hose.

Gotcha, I got it running, but it idles wide open now. Looking at the throttle slide it looks to be over a 1/4 open. I’m looking at that first.

It is possible to install the slide 180 degrees from where it should be and that would create a high idle situation.

I’ve double and triple checked that out, the slide is correct. It’s just not going down all the way, I’ll investigate more tomorrow when I get home from work. Thanks for your response though, would you have any other ideas?

Maybe an issue with the throttle cable.

Got it going, it was indeed an issue with the throttle cable adjustment…. Runs great except it seems to want to foul plugs, so I’m going to clean the air filter element inside the air box, readjust the pilot jet.. and if needed pull the carb and double and triple check the float level. I got a bout 10 minutes of ride time on the previous spark plug that was brand new.

I had an ATC200E many years ago and it would foul any spark plug except for Champion.
I never figured out why.
