350x stator help!!

I have a 1985 350x. Stator is no good so I ordered a OEM stator and when I went to install, it does not fit inside of the flywheel. In the picture above the left stator (black with less coils) came off the motor and the the stator on the right I ordered from eBay say OEM 85. Connections are same will plug up and the 3 holes line up as well but doesn't fit. Any idea what I need to order for my 350 run again. Thanks

The stators and flywheels on the 86 are different from the 85. In your photo, the stator on the right is an 85 and the stator on the left looks like an 86. It wont fit in the flywheel of the 85. You either need a new 85 stator to go with your 85 flywheel, or you need an 86 flywheel to go with that 86 stator.

Ok thanks for the help found out I have a 86 motor on 85 frame I been ordering wrong parts.
