83 R Scoops ?

hello, someone might of already asked this but i missed it i just wanted to see if there are any other scoops that would fix a 83 R and if not how much off are the 85-6 R or how much off are the 85-6 350 x scoops. Just wanted to see this because i don't like how the small scoops look on it think it would look better with bigger scoops.

it APPEARS that 200X Maier super scoops fit right on. They look the same as the ones on my 83, and they are larger and also Maier made. Buy a set and see, they are not expensive, just let me know if it works!

I got a set of maier 200x scoops and tried them on my 83 250r, the indentions where you drill the holes in the scoops don't quite line up. But you could make them work.

Are all 200x scoops the same or are differant years differant? Are those the only scoops that are about the same as the 83 R. if the 200x scoops line up or about line up i might have to get a set.

I am talking about 83-85 200x scoops, those are the only year of 200x scoop I think that are still available. Where about in Pa are you located ATC_250?

i just tryed a set off my dads 86 350x because i was gonna use them because hes restoring it but they don't line up. maybe tommarow i'll walk across the yard and see if my grandpa has any being that he use to buy 3 wheelers and sell them but now all he has is 4 wheelers =/ let me no if you find one that works.

Well I have seen much larger scoops on some 250r's before but not sure what kind they were or what they came off of.

scott, I think I have old Maier scoops on mine, they are much bigger and look much better. They resemble 200x super scoops, so I was hoping.

I have an old 3-wheeling magazine, in it they advertise Maier and DG Works scoops for the 83-84 atc 250r.

So its hopeless to find any other trikes scoops to fit! Crud. I have only one good set for my R and the other were good til the misses piled stuff on the tank and crushed them. :( But on a positive note my engine is on its way to me! Yes sir. :-D
