Yesterday I went in search of bearings for my project. First I went to the local bearing dealer to get replacement rear bearings for my Big Red w/ 200X front end. They told me they couldn't get anything close and go back to OEM (it was a woman - no offense to women, but I don't think she knew what she was doing). So I went to my local Honda Shop - World of Wheels in Seneca, PA. They wanted $40 each for these bearings...I couldn't believe it and said I would try to find them elsewhere. Then I bought front bearings (for 200x) and dust seals. 2 bearings and 2 dustseals were over $40. Did I get shafted on this or is this normal. Please reply, as I need these rear axle bearings still for the Big Red rear end. I can not justify $80 for two rear axle bearings.
Please Help me find these. They are KOYO bearings (made in Japan).

I have ALL BALLS brand bearings that are going in my 350X project. I got them from RMATV. You can also look them up on the internet.

What year / model Big Red? I may have a bearing kit for it for a lot less money.

Howdy,
It's a 1985 Big Red - But I only need the dual bearings on the brake side. Although Imay still be interested if the price is right.
Thanks

Something is not right. Those are standard size bearings and should be available for a lot less money. Check with Dennis Kirk and a different bearing house/industrial supply house. Honda always charges a premium for bearings so I'm not surprised at the dealer price you were quoted.
