Gday,

I sometimes go out spotlighting for rabbits on my 200es. I first started out running the spotlight directly off the battery by using a jig i made up which has 2 crocodile clips then leads to a cigarette outlet. I stopped using this because sometimes my bikes headlight would stop working and if i switched the engine off by the ingition and then turned it back on again the battery was that flat it wouldent even power the neutral lamp. The spotlight i used to use was a 100 watt 12 volt. I now have a 50 watt 12 volt. Do you think this will still drain the battery? Before i got the other spotlight i had just been using a gel cell 12volt in my toolbox (precharged) to run the spotty off this worked fine but there is nowhere to put the bunnies i shoot. I have a few more questions yet......

If i ran the spotlight off the convenience outlet would i still be making my battery go flat?

Im looking at a 250es this weekend and was wondering if that put out a higher amount of electricity than the 200es generator?

Will i be able to run a 50watt spotlight off the 250es battery, directly or off the "convenience outlet"?

Does anyone else use there trikes for spotlighting?

Thanks a million,

Matt

Matt....

Seems like the 250ES Big Reds you could take the headlight off to use it as a spotlight. Not sure... might be an option though.

What I have is a Coleman rechargeable 2 million candlelight power spot light. It's awesome. Charge it up and go! It will also run off a 12Volt Cig Lighter while charging too. When you charge in the house, you can not use it while charging.

Thanks Mate,

That is right about how it attaches. Only problem is that im the driver and my brother sits on the back and works the spotlight. If i was to use the headlight id probably drive into a wombat hole or something (ive done that before and its not fun!) Someone told me the 250es put out 500 watts of power? Does this sound right? how much does the 200es put out?

Thanks In Advance,

Matt

im sure it does not put out 500 watts. it probably puts out more like 100 watts. my arctic cat 4 wheeler puts out 360. the trikes front headlight is 45 watts. the accessory fuse is only 5 amps (60 watts)

Anyone else got an opinion on this. I thought the 200es put out 5 amps at the convenience outlet and the 250 put out 15 amps?

Anyone?
