I recently picked up a 12:1 piston for my 350X which is stock besides a K&N,removed ex. baffle, 20 in. Holeshots, and a 14T front to make up for the smaller tires. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this piston. Can I get by on 93 octane or 50/50. What should I expect as far as a seat in the pants difference regarding power/quickness. Hopefully it would be noticeable since stock is 8.5:1. I also have a 400EX carb to try out as well but I need some more jets to play around with. Any input is appreciated...

you might want to think about changing your rod, and maybe replacing crank bearings before you install that, just for good measure. Also read this post http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=21149

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure you need to run 93 AT A BARE MINUMUM at that compression ratio! Maybe even race fuel or octane boost.

Who makes a good aftermarket rod for the 350? I may just go with a 10.25:1 and run Premium and be done with it. I dont what to knock the reliability of this bike.
