I have adjusted the valeves and it will idle better now, before it would not idle. i rebuilt the carb all new parts, and put in a new plug. it is hard to start when warm. i also rebuilt the pull starter and can not figure out how the middle 4 ring spring goes in. it is not the long recoil spring. i assume the smaller spring helps work the compression release because it does not work and it is killing my arm and shoulder. can anybody help with teh compression release?

that is how i have put the spring back in to place. inside the yellow housing or what ever it is called, the compresion cable and slide peice go on to it. i have it fitted inside that and it ends up fitting around the bell housing or whatever that is called that is on top of the recoil spring. well when i put it back together and on the trike it will not recoil, it just locks up. does it need to be greased up?
and thanks for the bike bandit shot. i go there alot and for some reason didnt think of it.
i hope what i said makes sence.

I always use a little marine grade grease on the areas that contact each other. Metal to metal contact has a lot of friction and could cause the recoil not to return.

OK, since the ropes are prone to break anyways......right? I just took off all that stupid decompression crap....just use the pull start part and take out the yellow ring and the cable and the spring thing inside of it, and silicone the hole where the cable goes in.... TRUST ME I WOULDNT LIE! - the decompression cable does NOTHING....its just as easy to pull over without it (and i have high compression)....I promise it'll be just as easy and no hassle with all that CRAP! Its sittin here in my drawer next to me, and it'll NEVER get used agaiN! lol :)

i went in last night and greased it up and still nothing. the rope would not recoil. when i took the smaller spring out it will recoil and i can pull on it, but let me tell you, the compression rlease did work before because now it is a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro to pull when it hits the compression stroke. before i had no problems pulling on it all day and now it kills me.
last night i pulled on it after a bit and it hit hard and stopped dead in its tracks and my hand went flying. my finger hit the t handle hard as hell somehow and broke my finger. i wish there was a way to hook up a electric or kick start to the 200s.
i am taking this thing into the shop to have the release fixed and to have them get it dialed in for running better and start easier. i am pretty mechanicaly inclined but i am just getting burned out on working on these all the time. so i am hoping i can get it dialed i so i can just fire it up and go.
i really like riding it but i am tired of working on it.

Listen, please, I went through the SAME crap! The reason its hard to pull over is becasue the decompression release crap doesnt work un less its in there PERFECT! Just take it OUT, its ONLY a 200cc motor and it is NOT hard to pull with out the decompression release! My 8 year old brother can do it on mine and there is HIGH compression too! Its the internals of the pull starter for the release, if u tak it out, and just TRY it you will see that it is actually EASIER than pulling with the release working! Just trust me on this, and just TRY it without the cable and yellow ring and the spring that goes in the yellow ring! You dont even need the metal/rubber gasket either, i dont use it, but just bolt it on and TRY it then let me knoW!

well what i did is took it to guy to get the decompression worked out and to get the trike running better i just cant seem to get it dialed in. i plan on just buying the goki starter set up because this is my wifes wheeler and i just dont feel like messing with the pull starter any more. if i had it at my house i would try taking all the stuff out but i sent it off last night.
