I have a 1985 350x that I want to put a new clutch in. I have no service manual yet. Can someone please walk me through it or at least tell me torque ratings?
Thanx,
B

Was going to scan more, but somthing went wrong with the scanner. The large nut in the middle of the clutch is 72-87 ft-lb. The 4 small bolts that the springs go over are 7-10 ft-lb. Oil pipe to top end bolt is 9-12 ft-lb.
When you pull off the side cover, the decompressor cam on the kick start shaft might fall off, make sure no washers are stuck to the inside of the side case your taking off.
THere is a screen towards the bottom of the engine almost directly below the clutch, this should be pulled out and cleaned, it says to install the oil filter screen with its dot mark facing up.
I'll try to get more scans up soon.

How hard is it to put the decompressor cam back in the corect place is there anything else to watch out for when changing the clutch? What is the best replacement cluch (EBC)?should i get new springs also? and all i will need is the friction plates right? whats the torque spec for the side cover bolts?
Thanks

Make sure that the basket isn't grooved to bad. I think the stock is still the best, it lasts a while. If the steel plates are fine, then all you need is the friction plates. It all depends on condition. Replace what is bad, and leave the good stuff alone. ;)
