Is it worth putting on a stock 85 200x? Will it be noticable? How important is it to coat them in gear oil?

air filters are probably the easaiest way to free up horsepower. not sure how much it will free up, i think i heard 2 HP not too long ago, but take that with a grain of salt. with KN filters, you dont coat the filter with gear oil, they have a special oil for it ( i heard its gas and transmission fluid, but the gas would evaporate, so basically transmission fluid), and it is very important to use the oil. the oil is what traps the dirt, and is the reason the filter is reuable...just spry the filter with cleaner, wash in water and, put some more oil on it and your ready to roll again. but, anyways, If you plan on doing any more mods, the air filter is a must, and it will help the stock motor as well.
