Hey, I am guessing from your post that you went to the drags in bouctoche if so, tell us about them I did not make it to them But I heard some things like a 250r was there kicking everythings ass, and that a 660 grizzly with NOS was kicking ass too ... Let us all in on the fun you had this weekend !!!

Wish I could of made it, and at what speed did your 185 top at?

Hey there 4stuff!
For a minute there, I thought you were spying on me.
("Wait a minute, how did he know about me watching the 250R so closely????" LOL)
Yeah man that thing would FLY!
The guy probably did at least 70 runs all day long and he had gonads the size of grapefuits: the track would go all to heck because the warm temperatures and the spinning tires would dig it up, but he'd keep his thumb pinned to 'er no matter how rutted the track got!
The left lane was particularly bad, but he won most of his runs using that lane. He'd fly through the ruts hanging on for dear life and never lift his thumb. At one point he put one rear wheel off the track and onto the shoulder (which was about 4 or 5 inches HIGHER than the race track lane) and he still refused to slow down. He won that one, too.
Me and the girlfriend had a real hoot watching him, but I never got a chance to talk to him. I wanted to see what he had done to perk up his machine.
A friend of mine brought his brand new Honda EX (my mind's gone blank; can't recall if it was a 300 or a 400) and the R would beat it almost every run. Maybe he was letting the EX win a few so he wouldn't feel bad? :D

Unfortunately, I didn't get to do the "radar run." They were using the radar gun only in the morning, and I couldn't get there in the morning, only in the p.m. :'( I really wanted to do that. I was a little pissed that they never said they'd only be using the radar in the mornings. Geez, they could have said that in the first place. No matter. The snow was so soft that I don't know if it would have been a very accurate indication of the old girl's speed. (Remember how it rained like heck all day Saturday?)

PS The place was packed full of people and bikes. A good time was had by all. Tons of money was collected and donated to a shelter for battered women and the local food bank.

PPS: photos to follow

There weren't a whole lot of trikes, that's for sure, very darn few. But I'd guess there were a few hundred atv/atcs in all. The crowd was huge.

This guy won a few races. Also you can see how the racing surface was, uh, somewhat less than ideal, ha ha.

Oops, found one more.
This is how bad the track got, at times. Add a dozen deep ruts in there and you can guys how close the R came to disaster at about 90 kilometres per hour.
Thankfully they got the groomer out and fixed things up nicely at one point. Wasn't long before the guys tore it up again, though!
It poured rain all day the day before, so it could've been worse.
