Well yesterday i was riding, about 6 miles from my house, and i noticed my clutch felt odd. So i checked my oil level, and it was extremely low. it turned out that my drain plug came loose some how... Well i needed to get some oil in there, and all that i had was 2-stroke oil, so i put it in. I was just wondering if using this oil will hurt anything, or if it even helps out at all? OK thanks

I dont know if that was a good idea, but then again I dont know much about 2 strokes. It seems that the oil probably isnt heavy or thick enough to work it, so I would change it back to regular tranny oil asap.

it's all slippery and oil, it wont hurt but it doesnt help a whole lot, because it is so thin it isnt the best but it will work in desperate times...but get some new 10-30 or 10-40 in ASAP

ok i got some oil into it, and no damage was done, but i was thinking. Would a heavy weight gear oil work in the tranny? since it doesnt have to lubricate pistons, and valves etc... it seems like it would work in a 2 stroke tranny. Let me know what ya think.

Go buy you some Maxima MTL transmission oil. Its made for trannies. It will make your tranny shift better also. Thats all I ran in my 86 250r.
