Gday everyone,
I decided to get 3wheeler.org to host these pictures for me. As you can see it is in bad shape but im only going to be using it as a parts bike for the 1985 250es I should be getting on wednesday. We are going away to trailprotrailpro farm soon so i want the 250es to test her out. Can any of you other 250es owners see any diffrences from your machines? Notice the horn and the "helmet holder"?
Enjoy the pics.....

I have (3)1985 250es and (1)1986 250es the differance is they have a HELMET holder and locking steering in 86-87.No such horn your's must be a motorcycle horn.Other differance's in year to year is sticker's,carb #'s not size, owner's manual in trunk,on/off switch design, seat color in 86-87 gray, small internal engine part's, up grade's?No differance to me,If your ad is about your's being special because it's a 1987,No there are many of 1987 250es in the US and elsewhere.Only the High performace 87's are MIA(250r and 350x)The only "special"thing is SUPER RED sticker's,as they only seem to be aussey. My trike's where almost as bad as your's but there very nice now thank's to e-bay.If I had your trike I would resto because part's are abundant in the US.But your in australia shipping is killer.Well good luck and happy hunting Mate

I know its not special, just wanted to share a few pictures. Im definately posotive that horn is a stock horn. The attatchments wires and bolts all looked stock. Australian farmers would never go to trouble like that. They would just chuck in a crappy old bolt and use crappy wire. Maybe the horn was just stock for Aussie 87's??? My 87 250es dosent have a steering lock, or maybe it does, gotta go check.
Im not going to fix her up. No point when i have a better one that runs on its way, even though its an 85. Still has suspension that will support my rear, so im happy. I think i might pull off that whole 87 rear diff/swinger and get it blasted and painted and whack it on the 85 model, thats if its not too far gone with rust. I dare say if i pull it out ill be using the angle grinder to chop the top of the nuts off, they look too seized. To me the 85 swinger looks tougher, it has heaps of gussets to make it stronger, what do you think?
I best be off,
Matt

I think you should just take all that money you made from selling your 200es. And ship it to me !!! I could use some spare parts. :D
