2 questions for you experts.
I have a 200S that runs decent and starts when the choke lever is pushed down or on the next step up. When I lift the lever into the highest position, it won't start or run when warm. What position is what?.....

Also, when adjusting the cam tensioner, does the center bolt turn with the outside nut or are you supposed to di it somewhat like the clutch adjustment?

Anyone able to help me?

I do have a copy of the factory service manual but no owner's manual as of yet.

When the choke is all the way up the choke is on. The middle position is half in and the lower position is off.

When adjusting the cam chain you losen the 14mm outside nut when the engine is running at idle then tighten it. The center bolt is so that you can losen the cam chain when instaling the cam.

when you turn off the choke it cuts off a lot of the air...with not enough oxygen, the fire in the engine cant burn.

Thanks 'thefox'! You answered my questions perfectly. :D

'trikerider2oo7' , I didn't ask how a choke works. I have been a mechanic for 33 years and I know how it works and why. I just didn't want to tear it all apart to find out a simple direction of operation.
Also,
when you turn off the choke it cuts off a lot of the airYou had it backwards actually. When you turn the choke ON, it reduces the air flow volume through the venturi and thereby richens the mixture.

Again, thanks 'thefox'. :)

Damn mopar--you got PMS? He just tried to answer your question. An experienced mechanic like you should know that a warm motor doesn't like choke.

No PMS, just wanted to know something specific.
Sometimes misadjusted carbs and/or other problems will cause engines to only run decent with the choke on. I have only had the 200S for a couple weeks and now that I know the correct position of the lever, I know the carb, etc is set OK and there is nothing like that happening with this ATC. In fact, since it starts extremely easy, without the choke on, I am very happy now. :D I live in a very cold area of Idaho and most engines need choked to start in all but a couple summer months.
