So what's the deal with the reputation points now?? Anyone know?? - I have 8 points.....is this good, bad??? someone please explain - I'm just an ignorant Hillbilly and don't understand these things.....

Well, I'll try to explain this the best I can but I'll let you know I'm not really an expert on how it works either.


Everyone starts with 10 point

You can vote either "good" or "bad" points for a persons post.

The amount of points you add/decrease to another person depends on the amount of points you have.

You get 1 point for ever year you've been on the forum

You get 1 point for every 100 posts you've made on the forum.

The comments made in a repuation for another user are kept private. Whether they are good or bad. (As far as I know, I haven't found out where to read them yet, so I assume you don't).

Your total repuation points are not visible to other users.

Your reputation title changes with a certain amount of total repuation, I do not know the values but I suspect it is increments of 50.

Let me add one more thing, I've heard stories of this really causing problems on some forums, but I think it'll be useful here. However if trouble starts brewing its gone and wont be coming back.

Its not just posts since the conversion that count, but also any posts that were done before the switch and brought over.



Like I said, if it gets to be a big deal, I'll remove it.
