any and all input is appreciated......i would like to install a fmf fatty pipe on my 85 250r but i am concerned with the fact that there is no heat shield on it (like the factory), am i going to burn my leg?? call me an idiot but it seems to me that the pipe is gonna get pretty hot, i always wear pants , but i still have concerns...give me your opinions, please, thank you,

don't worry about it, your not gonna burn yourself. I have a esr pipe and its a good bit fatter than a fmf and I don't burn my leg.

If you wear shorts when you ride, you can burn you leg. I did a couple times over the years. If you wear pants, then don't worry about it. You'll be fine.

i've got a cobra pipe, and i've never burnt my self, pretty much the only way you can burn yourself with pants on is by leaving your leg on the pipe after you feel it beginning to get warm, or mabey if your pants are wet...

I ride in shorts occasionally when I'm just cruising the gravel roads. Lets just say when your leg DOES touch the pipe, you notice it pretty quick. Can you say "nanosecond" boys and girls?

I have a fmf fatty scar. Makes me wonder why I was wearing shorts.

Hey, if you touched the pipe in just the right spot, you really would have an "FMF" scar.
