250SX Park Brake

The guy who i bought my 86 250sx repainted almost everything. But that is now why i am threading. The reason is, is there a park brake on it? If so how do i engage it??????? i have tryed different things and i cant figure it out.

I'm not sure, but I think it's the same as the Honda ATV's...You press on the left hand brake, and there's a little plastic thing...you bring it to you, and you put it in the little crack right for that. I don't know if you understand me, but it's pretty hard to explain on a forum! :rolleyes:

Yeah most of them dont work cuz they are frozen up. You can remove it and put a parking brake block on it so you dont have to have it. Or you can find the high dollar parts to rebuild it.........peace

i talked to a buddy of mine and showed me where the brake was. the linkage isnt there any more.... Do you guys know where i can get the rebuild parts for the park brake??

Hey Scott, The sx doesn't have a hydraulic brake. No block is necessary. ;)

Yeah I know after I posted that I realized what I said....opps that old age catching me. Oh and try service honda for parts to repair yours.......peace
