hey,I've got a 1983 honda atc 200 and I am soon going to be putting a piston in it...I am looking at putting a wiseco piston but I am wonerding if I put a 12:1 high piston in it if I will have to run race fuel?

yes you will. just go with the 10:1, the 200 has enough low end anyways.
With 12:1 you might be able to get by with Premium.,....but you would most likely wind up having to run 100 octane. Is it worth finding out? hahaha

I would also recommend the 10.25:1 Piston over the 12:1. Especially if your 200 is pull start and you want to run pump gas. I have run both in my 200X and the 10.25:1 is much more fuel friendly and will run fine on 92-93 octane.

My bro used the Wiesco 12:1 piston and it said to use 103+ octane (racing fuel) so even the 100 at a pump would be too low. Ya, don't forget about your arm.

10.25:1 is the way to go. The 12:1 is a race application+ fuel problems, and will run hotter. The 10.25:1 piston will be easier to start too, especially if all you have is a pull starter!

yeah buddy, go with the 10.25:1, my buddy mason got the 12:1 and he'd put airplane fuel in it and he haaaaaaaaaaated it becuz it hurt sooo bad to pull it.
