On the goki starter i put on the 200s, when i first put it on the starter cranked right over and started the bike up. two days later i went to fire it up and nothing happened. i took the battery out and charged it up again. i took off all connections and took my dremel and wire wheel and cleaned all the connections up. after charging the battery i put it on and it tried to crank the motor but not well. then it would just make the starter spin, but the starter would just spin and not ingage with the motor. what is the deal? do i just need a new battery, which this one is brand new.
i figured maybe i had a bad ground and cleaning all the connections might help noit drain the battery and get better contact for the battery to work.
i think it may be a faulty battery but i thought i would get some opinions. :beer

Try hooking jumper cables or a jumper box up to it. If it cranks normal then I think it would be safe to sya you got a bad battery. Believe or not it does happen straight out of the box sometimes.

Try jump the starter motor. Hook a jump starter to the chassis for ground and use the positive lead to touch the sarter hot wire and see if it works. If it does the starter is good. You can also use a set of jumpers to go straight from your battery to the starter to test this, if it works this way the battery and starter are good. You may have a prblem with the starter relay not fully engaging.

I am not sure what the design of your starter looks like. If it is like the other Goku starters, then it Sounds to me like the bendix isn't working properly.
I say this because you said the starter motor turned over but wouldn't engage / crank the 3Whlr Motor. The bendix is a cruicial link to this style set up.

To Fix: Hard to say. Might just need to be taken apart, cleaned and lubricated.
That is where I would start.
Just my 2 cents.
