Hello, I am new to the board after purchasing a Honda ATC70 while doing the garage sale thing yesterday. I don't have much in it, what can you buy anymore for $40? Trying to find out for sure what year it is, it is blue, has plastic part between handle bars and a 4 speed tranny, N,1,2,3,4. It has a motorcycle gas tank, looks a little rough, but it is suppose to run. We took the carb off yesterday to fix a leak, missing stock tank, pull start, and some engine housing on that side also. It is suppose to run.

Welcome any comments

Welcome to 3 Wheeler World. It looks like the gas tank is from a Yamaha 225DX 3 wheeler. Cann't go wrong for $40.

Wow everyone, thanks for the warm welcomes. I am going to try and order a service manual on eBay, seems to be a great place for stuff like that. We took the carb off yesterday to repair a leak, once I get it started then I will know what for sure I got. I know it was blue, has a plastic Honda piece between the handle bars, see below pic, so I think it is '83, '84, or '85. Does anyone know for sure how to tell, I can't find any VIN on the front forks, not sure where to look, and if it was stamped or a sticker.

Is this enough of the VIN to tell the year on my ATC70?

I think they only made blue 70's one year, but not sure on what that year is, also I think the 4 spd was only from 83-85.
