why does my x run fine right after i cahnge the oil or maby it was cuz it was sittin. anyway it was running like new and then all of a sudden i was in neutral and went to go into first and it would just get some gas and then die. and it wouldnt start either. but then it was smokin some so i changed the oil the next day and it was running great. i think it is because it was flooded and it was the sittin part not the new oil. anyway does it sound like it is gettin flooded? o also it will ide great sometime but then as soon as i try to go into rist it just dies. and it has been backfireing alot too. i dont know waht is going on. does it have andthing to do with not using vent lines on the carb? or are the vent lines and the gas line different? maby i switched them up? i dont no but i am suppose to be going on my first trip to the badlands friday. lets hope i can go. o and my tirke looks great with the 350 forks and new bars and stuff its lookin good. but please help me
thanks

How do you get vent lines and gas lines mixed up? I go to a parts house and I get 1/4'' fuel line, and some weedeater clear green fuel line for a vent hose. But yeah, get a 1/4''(inside diameter) fuel line. It could be dying from a constricive (small) fuel line. Just a thought.....

Sounds to me like it's getting too muc fuel, if you would have mixed the lines up it wouldn't run at all. But anyways, put the needle the next clip up. But idle it, then look at the plug and tell me what it looks like.

Not trying to make you sound like a beginner, but, your not letting off the clutch too fast are you? Or maybe not giving it enough gas? Again, just a thought...Oh, and the lines should NOT all be the same size.

Check your air filter for dirt, it can stop an engine due to lack of air.
