200X help

Hey does anyone know how much a new head pipe would cost for my 1983 200X? I was running her wide open and blew a pea sized hole in the pipe about 2 inches away from where it connects to the motor head. Or does anyone have a do it yourself quick fix to patch the hole?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have multiple options. It all depends on how slutty you want the fix to look. I'd personally buy a new head pipe off ebay. You other option woulb to slice a piece of roung tube in half, put it over the hole, and weld it.
I may have a head pipe for that trike. It had a Supertrapp on the end of it though. Not sure if that makes a difference. It is a bit rusty for sure. I'd be willing to sell it if I can find it.

Thanks for the info. I think i might just go slutty for now until i get some $$$. Does $90 sound about rights for a new one though?

According to DG you have to buy a muffler as well to get a head pipe. I just happen to have a Dennis Kirk catalog in front of me and they want $104.95 for a complete exhaust.
