There's a 225DR in the paper here for $800.00 OBO. It looks really nice. What are these machine's worth approximatley? I was MAYBE thinking about it. After selling my X would that be a good machinn just to get out on the trail and ride? I'm not concerned about speed. Also are any problem's with 225DX/DR's? This one is an 1985 model. Thanks!

I have an 85 DR and I love it for climbing, its not that great for jumping not enough rear suspension. Mine has great power for only a 225. Mine and everyone I know who has one of these has had to put axle bearings in. It cost me little over $200 for all the seals and bearings, I also put new seals in diff., and swing arm bearings (at yamaha). Look on the JC whitney web sight they have the axle bearings for 10 bucks a piece. Wish I would have known that in August. Ah its only money. Buy it.

Pick it up dude. They're great machines for what you're looking for. Just be careful when climbing hills as the front end likes to pop up. if you're not careful.
